I don't think either of us were ready to leave the anchorage at Sturgeon Bay near Bobcaygeon, but it was time to move on. We had planned to make it further than Fenelon Falls, and were just going to breeze through, but the storm clouds were rolling, and the rain was threatening, and there was a space at the wall. Hard to turn down. The town of Fenelon Falls is built around the lock and the falls, so everything is really handy. The wall borders a couple of brew pubs, a couple of restaurants, a Kawartha Dairy Ice Cream shop (the BEST) and some touristy shops. We opted to grab a bit at Murphy's Pub, and with a sign like this, how to you pass it up? lol

Here is a picture of George out for a morning paddle before we left the anchorage.

Some of the fabulous homes along the waterway

This is why we stopped. The storm looked ugly.

This is our place on the wall.

There was a sign near the restaurant advertising for a farmers market the following morning. How do you pass that up too?! It was only a couple of blocks away, and even though we didn't get any farmer-y stuff, we got a great bottle of local wine, some local cheeses, and some amazing summer sausage from a local Amish farm. I felt pretty satisfied with the journey.

This was just to be a quick stop, so on to our next stop!
