This is the stop we wanted, but weather was coming in so we stayed at Holden Beach (the last stop). Another short day, but its all good because we are now against the beach. We are again on a T dock, against the channel, in a non-no-wake zone. I know that's a double negative. I don't hate T docks, or face docks, or being on the end of the fuel dock, because we're only there for a day or two. This one happened to be on the bend of Snow's Cut, coming out of the center of the Cape Fear River, heading towards the ICW. The current on the Cape Fear River is serious, and you need to really push through it. The ICW, on the other hand, is pretty serene. Coming from one, to the other, many boats do a sort of power-slide as they come down from their cruising speed and make that corner onto the ICW. We were at the receiving end of the wakes from every single boat that rounded the corner. All night long. Bleh.

We stayed for an additional day because the beach was supposed to be so pretty there. We walked around the town for a while, and walked the pier, .... ate lunch at the Tiki Bar, and walked back to our road via the beach. The pictures are great .... I hope you enjoy.

Next stop was supposed to be Topsail Beach, but there was no room. It was suggested that we could just anchor out in Hammock Bay, but there was a storm coming in so I wanted a marina. I found one up by Camp Lejeune called Old Ferry Marina.

That is our next stop!
