After spending a week in Deltaville (yes, the weather held us down for 5 days), we were really looking forward to moving on. We needed the weather to be a bit better before we crossed the mouth of the Potomac on the Chesapeake Bay, but Reedville was just the stop. Besides that, we needed water.

The trip was sporty, but not scary. Pretty good sized waves out on the bay, and our friends in Deltaville thought we were crazy to leave. Its a 5 hr trip to Solomons Island MD, and that was our next big stop. Reedville cut 2 hrs off of that, so we made the choice to go out in the wind. It was supposed to settle by afternoon, which it did. The videos showed the rough water pretty well, but the pictures don't do it justice. By the time we got near Reedville it had calmed enough that the evening was glorious. This is the beautiful little town that lives in fantasies. I suppose old retired navy guys live here. We walked to the one and only restaurant that was open (we missed the closest one by a day) and had a nice dinner and cocktails. It was the 4th of May, but they let us order off their Cinco de Mayo menu anyway.......lol. Tacos and margaritas!

The sunset was amazing, which I really enjoyed after no decent sunsets in Deltaville for a week.

Crossing the Potomac tomorrow. We considered traveling up to Washington DC, because the Realtor meetings are going on. It would be a super fun trip, and maybe get to visit some friends - but maybe not too.... I know how busy I am when I am there. Also, Crystal called and said that she had a meeting in New Jersey, and how close were we going to be, so we decided on Annapolis to meet, which meant that we needed to stay on schedule. Honestly, we could have made DC work, but chose not to, which is good too.

This really cool phallic looking thing lights up at night. During the day it looks like a giant chimney, but is apparently lighting the way for incoming fishing boats.
