I tried, unsuccessfully, to take pictures of every cool thing there was coming out of Norfolk. Each giant naval vessel was cooler than the last, and each dry dock or shipyard had the most amazing assortment of other giant ships. I tried.....

I did get a few cool pictures, but multiply them by a hundred to get the full idea. The water at the mouth of the Chesapeake Bay was so pretty, and so calm, it was hard to believe we were entering such infamous waters. We passed up the James River, enroute to the York River. I had intentions of Uber-ing over to the Yorktown historic area to tour it, but weather changed that plan. Dang it. I was whining about missing out on the Yorktown area, and then realized that I had just passed the James River, which is where Jamestown is. I felt like quite a knuckle-head, considering how much I enjoy the American History sites. I guess we are going to have to do this trip again, and stop at different places. The York River was beautiful, and apparently is where the Naval Submarines are based. We didn't see any submarine traveling by, but others did. That would have been super cool. It was a beautiful place to spent a couple of days while we waited out some weather. Not many pictures, because it was mostly raining.

Next stop, Deltaville.
