We left Chelsea Piers as early as we could possibly leave, because it started very early in the morning rocking the boat. Those ferries are relentless in their desire to stir up the Hudson River. It had a great location, but lacked a way to stop the waves. Oh well.....

Here we are at Chelsea Piers Marina

When we left the pier, it was just one thing after another. There was so much stuff to see! Dan had told me about a bunch of stuff to look for, so I tried to get pictures of them. Many of the cool buildings that he mentioned we were able to see. The Flatirons Building, and the Empire State Building to name a couple. We went right by Central Park, but honestly couldn't see a thing. The Upper West Side, Hells Kitchen, and Harlem got a 'boat by' and we went under the George Washington Bridge as we went by Washington Heights. ....and then, just like that..... the city is gone. It has been replaced by tall rock walls and beautiful scenery. Crazy.....

Those pesky ferry boats

The Empire State Building

The George Washington Bridge

The Tappen Zee Bridge

Cool rock cliffs all along the river.

It was a beautiful cruise up the Hudson. I was so excited to see the things that I've only heard about my whole life. Like Scarsborough, and Sing Sing, and so much more. While we were cruising I got a Nebo message from Ron at the Cortlandt Yacht Marina saying that if we hadn't found a place to stay yet, we should come to his place. Seems reasonable..... he did ask nicely. We decided to go there. It was small, and out of the way, but super protected and adorable. It came complete with good Vinny, who was helpful in every way, and evil Vinny, who was not. We were there with Cheryl and Bruce on You n Me, and had a great time. We walked to the local town of Verplanck and enjoyed the deli and chinese restaurant (take out). We had a quiet afternoon, so George asked how much to pull the boat out of the water and check it out. Only $5 a ft, so we did it. Everything looked great, but we added all new anodes. They were shot.

George and good Vinny working on anodes.

Putting her back in the water.

A beautiful, but smoky, sunset. Smoke was from the Canadian fires.

Our chinese food picnic by the pool

It was a great stay. If we come back, we will likely stop here again.
